Chapter I – INTRODUCTION

Digitalization do not only made impact on the way how we are doing our work or how we provide adult education, but as well made a serious impact on the development of the child. Therefore, rapid changes in this industry are demanding as well rapid adjustment to those new circumstances and acquiring of necessary skills that will help, support and ensure healthy and quality development of children. Kindergarten teachers are together with parents in the first line of those who should do this, and they should continuously engage into education in order to have relevant competences for performing their work.

Research conducted by one of the partners organization on the project showed that “knowledge gaps” of kindergarten teachers today are related to:

  • Theoretical knowledge on pedagogy and teaching methods

  • Knowledge and skills regarding care, nutrition and safety of children

  • Communication, presentation and motivation skills

  • Administration, planning and management

Throughout the participation in this online education, participants will:

  • Become familiar with children’s physical development

  • Understand psychological, physical, emotional and social development of the child and become able to provide support to the children in this regard

  • Become familiar with different educational (teaching) models and concept of creative workshops

  • Learn how to develop and maintain pedagogical documentation

  • Enhance their communication skills and techniques

  • Learn how to establish meaningful cooperation with parents

  • Learn how to provide emotional, social and psychological support to the children from vulnerable groups
