Chapter III – EMOTIONAL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE CHILDREN
Each child has different emotional and social characteristics that correspond to the age group they
belong to. This is precisely what we are going to address in this chapter and learn how to define
and plan our work on their social and emotional development based on the tailor-made programme
defined according to the individual needs of the children.
Children's social and emotional development is actually a process of children's personal
recognition, i.e. discovering who they are, how and what they feel and what they can expect from
interaction with other people. In this process, they learn to experience and express the different
emotions they have or face, and also to maintain quality relationships with others
But first, we will talk about children's emotions and how to study them. Then we will talk about
the emotional development of children and how the socialization of emotions is experienced at an
early age.
